In 1992, we established the Festival Accommodation division, the first of its kind in Grahamstown. This branch was created in response to a huge problem encountered by the National Arts Festival namely the provision of clean, safe and inexpensive accommodation in the privacy of a home for the thousands of Festival guests. Many guests are also not comfortable living in a hostel type environment. And so, the concept was launched to encourage Grahamstown’s permanent residents and homeowners to give up their homes for the period of the festival and allow guests to enjoy the festival while living in their homes. The prices are set on a comparative basis by us and are dependent on the size, proximity to town, luxuries on offer and amenities. You can therefore be quite confident that you are paying a fair rental. There is a private warm deck overlooking the garden. Top quality fittings, linen and towels and you can sit out on the stoep and enjoy a sun-downer with the most wonderful view of Grahamstown. each unit is equipped with a fridge,microwave and some have stoves. Two Queensize beds and three singles, two bathrooms, a lovely large lounge with pub, and double garage. A comfortable batchelor pad with very good security. the en suite bathroom has a shower and toilet and there is a separate bath and toilet for the other guests. The outside patio are has an enclosed braai area overlooking the pool. Downstairs a spacious lounge/kitchen leading out onto an enclosed patio, as well as a guest loo. Fully installed automatic water supply in case of emergencies.
